FAQ’s
Is this the same as NDIS Support Coordination No - that's a different, formally funded NDIS support category. A COS is a direct service provider: they design, employ and lead your support team themselves, rather than coordinating supports from other providers on your behalf.
Will we have the same coordinator long-term, or will they change Continuity is the whole point of this model. Your coordinator is a business partner with real investment in your outcomes - not someone rotating through a caseload. That's a genuinely different structure from providers where coordinators change year to year.
What happens if it's not working out with our coordinator FIShR remains the registered NDIS provider and holds governance and compliance oversight the whole way through, so you're never without backup if something needs to change.

Can we switch models later if our needs change Yes. Participants and families move between SDM, ISW and COS as circumstances change - there's no lock-in, and it's a conversation, not a re-application.
Who actually employs the support workers on our team? Your COS does, directly - not FIShR. That's part of why they're genuinely invested: they're building and running their own small business, not managing a slice of someone else's.
